Our little Scholar

Tonight we had Curriculum night at Cameron's school. This is for the parents so they can learn how things are done in the classroom, and how to help the kids at night with their homework. We learned how their phonics program works and the way they teach the kids to read. We learned how she disciplines the children, but unfortunately we have had experience with this, Cameron really enjoys talking to his buddies during class but he is improving each week. We do bribe him just a bit :)

Cameron has homework each night which usually consist of a worksheet, spelling words, phonics sounds and reading for 15 minutes. He is doing so well in school thus far and really loves going. He got a 100% on his spelling pre-test and phonics test today which means he doesn't have to take the actual test tomorrow, YEA!!!

After school Cameron is involved with Rec. For an hour each day he gets to play a sport, right now they are playing soccer, then they move to basketball, and then flag football. He really loves his coach and he gets to play on the same team with the big kids (5th and 6th graders)
