Most of you know and for those who don't, I had my last official day at the ANASAZI Foundation. I have worked for ANASAZI for 7 1/2 years and have loved every minute of it, not to say it wasn't stressful at times but I still loved it. There are so many things I am going to miss.
My coworkers who many have become my friends. On Friday we went around the room and they all expressed what there favorite memory of me was and I wish I could have done the same to them but the tears were starting to come out. So here are just a few of them. For the most part there isn't just one memory that I have but lots of them
Virginia: I love how you are like my mother, always knowing the right things to say to me when I am struggling and always lending an ear to listen. I am going to miss coming into your office and pouring my heart out to you and the good crys we have had over the last few months with both of our struggles. I love you very much and will miss you deeply.
Gina: I love how you call me coach all the time and I call you boss, we only go to work together for about a year and a half but I have loved working with you. You remind me alot of myself, ready to take one for the team and dive right in, God knows you did that alot and I thank you for it. You always took an interest in my kids and always wanting to play with them when I brought them into the office. I know you are going to go far and of course marry the doctor to be :)
Johnna: I feel as if I took you under my wing and made sure you were always protected and well taken care of. You are always looking for more work to do and never get tired of people dumping things at the front desk. I am so excited for you to become a mom, you are going to be awesome and love it more than life. I wish you all the luck with your journey of pregnancy and becoming a new mom.
Sean: Never in a million years did I think you and I would work for the same company. But I have enjoyed getting to know you better and learn from you in many ways. I now know you more than my brother in law but as a friend and a coworker. Thanks for always looking at for me and also remembering that I am not a little girl anymore.
Mike: Over the last 7 years we have been through so much together, sometimes bad but for the most part things were pretty good. I am going to miss your leadership but most of all our friendship. I know we will still be working close together in my new job but not on a daily basis. These last few months you have been there for me, and you never gave up on me. You have given me the courage to get through these difficult time and without you I would have never made it. Thank you for being a great leader, and a great friend.
The parents: I have loved working with the parents on trying to find ways to help fund the program their children. It wasn't always easy and I have been considered a softy at times when I take the initial info call and I am determined to get them here.
The Young Walkers: When they come home they have the light in their eyes and so eager to have a new beginning. Some do struggle but they always seem to remember what the learned on the trail to help them with their trials and tribulations at home.
So many of you are wondering where I am going and what I am going to be doing. I was offered a position by Arbinger to work with Paul Smith, the best mentor anyone could ever have. Everything I know today is because of him. Arbinger is establishing an accounting firm and I will work with clients performing accounting services, I will start off with ANASAZI, San Tan and Wilderness Quest and then add a few more once things get settled and we figure out how things are going to operate.
So I am not leaving ANASAZI all together but will have a very different role.
Thank you for 7 wonderful years!!!!
