Picnic at the Park

I think sunday has to be my favorite day of the week. We went on a picnic yesterday afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa.

We grilled some burgers and went to the park and the kids enjoyed playing on the playground. Cameron had fun playing on the slide and trying to go across the monkey bars.

Morgan enjoyed playing on the slide and eating sand.

Red Sox biggest fan

Yesterday afternoon we were gearing up to watch the Red Sox play game 7 and Morgan was ready to cheer them on. Cameron didn't feel like sporting his Red Sox gear.

Baseball is in the air

Not only are my Red Sox hanging in there and beating the TB Rays the last 2 games making a game 7, Cameron has started his season as well. This is his second season to play coach pitch baseball and he did awesome today. Getting hits both times at bat and playing an awesome first base.

The second time up to bat he missed the first pitch but hit the second one, a grounder. Then he played left field, very bored out there. Not a whole lot of action going on out that way

While playing first base he made sure he stopped all the balls and touched the base each time. He did a great job.

While Cameron was playing baseball Morgan was having fun eating her cheerios and walking around checking out all the people.

Cameron and daddy reading

Cameron is reading by himself for the most part now, so each night he reads 2 stories and we read 1 story. I am so blessed to have a boy that loves books and can't get enough reading in. He is always asking us to read or to listen to him read. I am so proud of him. He loves school and soaks up everything. His favorite past time is playing school when he gets home from school. If you ask him what his favorite subject is, he is your typical boy and says "recess and lunch", he is a social butterfly, which does land him in trouble during class room time.

More Scrapbooking

I have been feeling a bit guilty for now having scrapbooks of the kids. I have been trying to do a few pages each night. Tonight I started Morgan's book. I have another page almost done, I bought some chipboard letters today and half of Morgan's middle name was missing, so I have to return them tomorrow and then I will have it complete.

I just ordered tons of pictures so not sure what I will scrapbook next, I was thinking about last halloween, I also finished up Cameron's 1st halloween and his first hair cut but the camera battery has died and is charging so pics of those ones will be coming soon.

The Weather has finally cooled down

You could say FALL has finally decided to give Arizona a visit. This past weekend the weather has been beautiful. Nice and cool outside and very windy. In the morning there is that cool crisp smell of cold weather, and it stays pretty cool all day. Today I was able to turn the air conditioner off and open up the windows and let the fresh air in. I love being able to open the windows and having the smell of fresh air flow through the house. Rich on the other hand would prefer to keep everything shut up nice and tight, silly man!!

The kids are loving it because we can spend more time outside. Most people hate this time of year because they can't spend much time outside, and this is when we go to the park and play in the backyard. Cameron especially loves it because it means the park on the weekends and just being a boy outside.

My kids and their blankets

Cameron has 2 favorite blankets and he loves them and would take them with him everywhere if he could. But he is getting older so he usually snuggles with them when he is tired and going to bed.

Morgan has 2 favorite blankets and they go where ever she goes

A Day at the Farm

Today my girlfriend Lisa and I took the kids to "Mother Natures Farm" we had a blast. I have to say it was better than going to Schnepps farm and way way cheaper. A fun filled day. After we did the farm we took the kids to McDonalds for lunch and to play on the playground. The weather turned out to be a gorgeous day, in the lower 80's you can say it was the perfect way to spend a saturday.

Here are a few pics of Cameron and the animals. At first we were all a little skeptical of the crocodile but he turned out to be pretty friendly, with his mouth taped shut.

After we saw the animals we went to pick out our pumpkins and decorated them. Instead of using paint to decorate them they had puffy stickers, the kids had a blast and Morgan had fun throwing them everywhere.

Cameron had to have his face painted. He was so excited to use his dollar that he earned last week in the garage sale, he had a pirate painted on his face.

What would a day on the farm be like without a hayride. This was Cameron's first time to go on a hayride and Morgans. As you can see they enjoy it.

The boys just had to show off their climbing abilities and no one fell out of the tree so they did a great job!!!

Finally at the end we took pictures of them and their pumpkins that they decorated. We had a blast today!!!
