Grampie Davis has arrived

Rich's dad is here visiting from Florida for a few days. Cameron is excited he is here, he wondered where the horses were. Usually when we see Bob and Mary they are in Bangor, ME at the races, and Grampie took Cameron out in the winners circle last time and he thought that was way cool, and now associates Grampie with the horses. Unfortunatly Mary could not make it this trip, she has not been feeling herself lately, so we wish her well and that she has a speedy recovery, Mary we miss you and love you, Cameron and Morgan send there love your way. We really don't have anything planned except to enjoy a nice visit with each other. Cameron has already planned a day at the zoo, and to go to the park and play basketball.
This is Bob's first time to meet Morgan and they have hit it off pretty well. Bob soon learned that Morgan does not stray very far from daddy and when she is not with Daddy that she has her eye on his every move.
I will post some pictures once we take some of us having fun with Grampie.

Mommy and Cameron

On friday night Cameron and I spent some good quality alone time together. Since Morgan has arrived it has become more difficult to spend one on one time with Cameron. We always try to give him his own time with each of us everyday, but sometimes it is just for a short while. He really loves his time he spends with each of us. It makes him feel special.

Friday Rich decided to go out and so that left me and the kids alone for the evening. Cameron helped me give Morgan a bath and put her too bed. After she went to bed I let him stay up way past his bedtime and watch cartoons with me. We talked and laughed about anything and everything. He made it until about 9:45 and then started asking me when it would be bedtime. So we read stories, brushed our teeth and off to bed he went. I love every moment that I get to spend with him, he is such a loving and compassionate little boy. I just wish we could have some more alone time together.

A little of this and a little of that

The dishes are piling up, laundry is a never ending story, and don't mention the vacuuming and the dusting. I know I am not the only mom out there that feels this way. Everyday I get a little more done but everyday there is a little more piled up. My TO DO List is getting longer instead of shorter. When does the CHAOS end!!! Maybe when the kids turn 18 :)

It has been a while since I have posted due to the Chaos going on in our lives. Just a little update on our weekend and our week so far. Morgan has been battling a fever since last Wednesday, and pretty grumpy to be around. We took her to the doctor on Saturday and her ears and everything checked out just fine. On Tuesday she was still running a small fever and very grouchy so we took her back to the doctor and it turns out she has a urinary tract infection, my poor baby girl!! Once we started the antibiotics she seems to be doing a little better, and sleeping all night again. THANK GOODNESS. Cameron has had a pretty good week so far. We are still having behavior issues with him at school but hopefully we are coming to an end. We think it may have to do with what he is eating at school. For those of you who don't already know we have been having some pretty serious issues with Cameron and school for about 4 weeks now, first we thought it was a jealousy thing with Morgan but we have decided there is more going on. His teachers and I have been working through it and hopefully this too shall pass.
Rich is doing great in school and loving his accounting class :) I am doing well also. I hope you have a great week and thanks for reading about our lives.

Busy Weekend

Before you have kids you think of weekends as nice and relaxing. Once the kids come weekends get busy and hectic, but always loaded with lots of fun.

This past weekend was lots of fun. On friday night we all watched Star Wars together. Saturday morning Morgan and I went and had her 6 month pictures taken, we didn't have time to review the pictures after her little photo shoot, so we promised to come back later in the day. Cameron had a birthday party to attend in the afternoon, after the birthday party I took the kids back to the mall to pick out the pictures to buy of Morgan, well Cameron insisted on having his photo taken, so we then had another photo shoot.

On sunday we went to the Arts Museum for Youth. The kids and I went with our mommy's group. There are 4 wonderful ladies and 7 kids between us. We have been hanging out pretty much on a monthly basis since the kids were about 6 months old. The nice thing about the group is when we joined up with each other none of had any type of connections with each other. Each month we try to plan an activity with the kids. It has become very challenging since the kids are getting older and starting to become involved in more activities.

At the art museum they had Jim Henson on display. We learned the history of the Muppets, Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street, at the end of the exhibit the kids put on a puppet show. After this exhibit we headed over to the art side of the museum. This is an area that has different rooms set up for the kids to explore. After about 2 hours of play we decided to head home.

Morgan is 7 Months

WOW, time has flown by these last 6 months. I can't believe our baby girl is growing up so fast. She is so much fun to be around and is always doing something new. Morgan is a very determined little girl, no matter what, she will make it happen. Her personality is very laid back, but she will let you know when she is upset. Morgan loves to watch Camerons every move. All Cameron has to do is walk in the room and she is smiling and starting to laugh. One of their favorite moments together is right before Cameron is going to bed, while he is brushing his teeth with dad, Morgan is lying in his bed getting it ready for him. Once he has climbed up the ladder she is ready to jump at him. They give hugs and kisses then off to sleep Cameron goes. So far Cameron is the only one that has been able to get Morgan to really laugh.

Morgan spends her days with mommy and daddy. Most of the time she is at home with dad, 2 days a week she joins me at the office for a few hours while daddy goes to school. I am fortunate enough to have a very flexible work schedule and work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Everyone in the office loves her and they come down and get their baby fix with her, so I barely even see her while she is there. Luckily we have another baby at the office now so the girls have someone else to bug :)

Morgan was very busy during her 6 month of life.

  • eating veggies and fruits, she absolutly hates the green ones. She will actually make herself gag. Peaches are not her favorite either, but she loves those bananas.

  • drinks from a cup (not a big fan of water, but she is adapting)

  • says Da-Da

  • sits up all by herself

  • can pull herself up on objects

  • beginning to crawl, likes to army crawl

Cameron Loves Bath Time

I know he will thank me someday for posting the pictures, but he will only be 4 once. As you can see Cameron loves to play in the bath. Over the last few month he has migrated to our bathroom because we have the big garden tub, and now every bath toy imaginable and then some. Cameron got a Mega Rig Shark Ship for christmas and their is a submarine, a boat, and several sea creatures including a large squid whos legs pull right off that are meant to be played with in water. It can be tricky when one is showering or bathing in our tub.

Trip To Salt Lake City

This morning I caught a plane to SLC for a business meeting. Once we arrived in SLC it was snowing and the tempature was 30 degrees, which in my book is beyond freezing. We headed off to our meeting which by the way was very productive and beneficial. After our meetings we still had some time left before running off to the airport so we took a drive down to Temple Square, got out and took a few photos. The buildings are old and beautiful and the Temple is absolutely an amazing building Obviously I am not allowed to go inside of the Temple but it is gorgeous from the outside, I can only imagine what it looks like on the inside. For those of you who are not familiar with the LDS Faith, the Temple is for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "House of the Lord." It is a sacred building, and after its dedication only faithful members of the Church may enter. Inside, members learn more about the purpose of life and make covenants to serve Jesus Christ and their fellow man. In addition, they participate in religious ceremonies that reach beyond mortality, such as baptisms on behalf of deceased ancestors and eternal marriage. This is just a brief history of the Temple for more information please visit http://www.lds.org/.

We had a wonderful day, but I am very glad to be home with my family and in the warm weather.

DA-DA

Thats right, Morgan said DA-DA today. Apparently her and Rich have been working on it for a few weeks. After taking Cameron to school I came back home and joined Morgan and Rich in our cozy bed and I said can you say "da-da" and she did it right on command. After that she just kept blabbing it all day. It was so fun to hear her say those words. I definetly don't remember Cameron talking this early on. She is quite the talker, must take after her mother.

COLD

Today was the first time in the 13 years that I have lived in AZ that I had to scrape ice off my windshield. It has been pretty cold in the mornings, so I usually start the car to warm it up before going to work and school. This morning we were running late as usual so we ran to the car only to find frozen doors, and ice everywhere. Cameron had no idea what it was, and how ice could possibly freeze to a car. I then asked the dumb question to Rich, "do we have an ice scraper" and his response was here use a CD case, and it worked wonders. There I was in my flip flops and a sweatshirt scraping ice off the windshield. What a great way to start the day.
