Kiddie Kandids Pics of the kids

Back in July we took the kids to have their 5 year old and 1 year old pictures at Kiddie Kandids. They turned out sooo cute. Morgan loves to pose for the camera and Cameron is at that age where he thinks its funny to give that cheesy smile, so we really didn't get any of him by himself. But the ones with the kids together turned out adorable.

Enjoy the photos:

The photos were scanned in so you might see some streaks on them.

Almost back to normal

A little over 2 weeks ago I cut my right index finger open on a picture frame glass and had to get 4 stitches and they stayed in for 10 days. This made it very difficult to type and write, so I have been limiting my email and internet use to things only necessary. After 10 days I had the stitches removed only to find out the cut had not closed up at all, and so they used dermabond (superglue) to close up the cut, but after 3 days it opened right back up. NOw they are telling me that there is nothing they can do and I am going to have to let nature take its course. If feels much better and is easier to type. I would show pictures but I am afraid it would make people sick and not want to visit my blog again. The doctor said it should be completely healed up in a short 6 months and I should keep wearing the splint for another 5-7 days.

Scrapbooking

It has been forever since I sat down and scrapbooked. Last night I finished up Cameron's first season of baseball, and have only his basketball season left to finish and then he will have one complete scrapbook.
This one is titled "Cameron's first sports". He played soccer, baseball and then basketball.
I have included all the pages I have done so far, hopefully all the pictures won't bore you or over whelm you.

Hopefully now that I am back in the swing of things I will start scrapbooking on a regular basis. I am going to try and start going to our church on the first Friday of each month, they have a big scapbooking get together where you scrap for 6 hours!!!, I could get lots done in this time. I am almost finished with Cameron's third year. And poor Morgan I haven't even started anything for her, but have good intentions are getting started.

Random pics of our weekend

We had pretty lazy weekend. Cameron had two birthday parties to go to on Saturday afternoon and that was the highlight of our weekend. Below are some pics of the kids at the birthday party.

After the first party we came home took a break and the kids enjoyed a movie and a snack of goldfishies on the couch

Here are some random pics of the kids over the rest of the weekend!!!

First time for everything

On friday night Rich and I went on a date and the kids had their first real babysitter, that was not Aunt Lori or Grandma and Grandpa. Cameron's Pre-K teacher Mrs. Flanagan watched the kids on Friday night. We have become very good friends with Rose, and the kids adore her to death. They had tons of fun, played lots of games, got out the forts with the tunnels, read books and had lots of snacks.
Rich and I went out to eat and then to the half price book store where we spent a good hour and a half looking at books, and we bought lots of books and a few music CD's, we had a really nice time.

THANK YOU Rose!!!

Moving on

Most of you know and for those who don't, I had my last official day at the ANASAZI Foundation. I have worked for ANASAZI for 7 1/2 years and have loved every minute of it, not to say it wasn't stressful at times but I still loved it. There are so many things I am going to miss.

My coworkers who many have become my friends. On Friday we went around the room and they all expressed what there favorite memory of me was and I wish I could have done the same to them but the tears were starting to come out. So here are just a few of them. For the most part there isn't just one memory that I have but lots of them

Virginia: I love how you are like my mother, always knowing the right things to say to me when I am struggling and always lending an ear to listen. I am going to miss coming into your office and pouring my heart out to you and the good crys we have had over the last few months with both of our struggles. I love you very much and will miss you deeply.

Gina: I love how you call me coach all the time and I call you boss, we only go to work together for about a year and a half but I have loved working with you. You remind me alot of myself, ready to take one for the team and dive right in, God knows you did that alot and I thank you for it. You always took an interest in my kids and always wanting to play with them when I brought them into the office. I know you are going to go far and of course marry the doctor to be :)

Johnna: I feel as if I took you under my wing and made sure you were always protected and well taken care of. You are always looking for more work to do and never get tired of people dumping things at the front desk. I am so excited for you to become a mom, you are going to be awesome and love it more than life. I wish you all the luck with your journey of pregnancy and becoming a new mom.

Sean: Never in a million years did I think you and I would work for the same company. But I have enjoyed getting to know you better and learn from you in many ways. I now know you more than my brother in law but as a friend and a coworker. Thanks for always looking at for me and also remembering that I am not a little girl anymore.

Mike: Over the last 7 years we have been through so much together, sometimes bad but for the most part things were pretty good. I am going to miss your leadership but most of all our friendship. I know we will still be working close together in my new job but not on a daily basis. These last few months you have been there for me, and you never gave up on me. You have given me the courage to get through these difficult time and without you I would have never made it. Thank you for being a great leader, and a great friend.

The parents: I have loved working with the parents on trying to find ways to help fund the program their children. It wasn't always easy and I have been considered a softy at times when I take the initial info call and I am determined to get them here.

The Young Walkers: When they come home they have the light in their eyes and so eager to have a new beginning. Some do struggle but they always seem to remember what the learned on the trail to help them with their trials and tribulations at home.

So many of you are wondering where I am going and what I am going to be doing. I was offered a position by Arbinger to work with Paul Smith, the best mentor anyone could ever have. Everything I know today is because of him. Arbinger is establishing an accounting firm and I will work with clients performing accounting services, I will start off with ANASAZI, San Tan and Wilderness Quest and then add a few more once things get settled and we figure out how things are going to operate.

So I am not leaving ANASAZI all together but will have a very different role.

Thank you for 7 wonderful years!!!!

SUPER Busy Weekend

Where to begin...

Friday night we went and did a little shopping, for birthday presents, other items we didn't really need and then to the Home Depot for some paint for my new office (will tell about in another post). On Saturday morning I dropped Rich off at my new office so he could paint and I took Cameron and Morgan to a birthday party at Pump it up, which lasted for about 3 hours or so and then we went to pick up Rich and came home and rested up for an hour or so, and then off to another birthday party. This one was a swimming party and we got home pretty late that night. Needless to say the kids had a blast and so did I. I didn't take the camera to either party so no pictures to post but I will vouch for them that they had fun. Rich wasn't feeling well and so he skipped the second party and took a siesta and got caught up on some much needed sleep. Of course the kids were up a the crack of dawn and so I ran to my office to put it together so I could get right to work on Tuesday morning. Later in the day we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa and had a lovely swim, and then off to church we went. Cameron loves going to his new Sunday school and Morgan even enjoys the nursery and Rich and I get to enjoy church in peace and quiet, which makes a huge difference.

Below are a few pics from swimming at Grandma and Grandpas. I am not sure why I am the only adult to ever be swimming, while everyone else just sits and takes pictures :)

Dinner with the Family

This weekend I felt like we did nothing but cook, clean and entertain, but it was all well worth it. Tonight my sister, Dylan and my cousins from Tucson came over for dinner.

We don't get to see Scott and Rachel often but when we do it is always nice to talk about old times when we were growing up. Scott and I are 2 1/2 years apart in age and saw each other quite a bit when we grew up, he lived in Texas and we lived in Oklahoma. I went to Texas alot for softball tournaments. I have to say growing up and playing with Scotty was not always fun and games. He wasn't very nice to me, he would slam the door in my face, take me on bike rides in their neighborhood and try to lose me, but we always had a blast. I am glad that he and Rachel live closer I just wish we got to see them more often.
Cameron and Morgan enjoyed their visit as well, even though it took Morgan pretty much the whole afternoon before she would go over and sit next to Scott and Rachel, but eventually she did.

Aunt Lori and Dylan had fun playing with the kids as well, Morgan showed of her hula hoop abilities and Cameron showed off his Star Wars Clone Wars moves. He is obsessed with Star Wars and everything revolved around the Clone Wars

Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa

Tonight Jim and Gaby came over for dinner and we had a late birthday celebration for the both of them and we also celebrated Grandparents day which is tomorrow. We cooked a delicious corn beef and cabbage, and then had cake and ice cream.

Cameron and Grandpa were busy playing upstairs in the loft and then outside for a while on the swings, while Morgan and I sat and visited with Grandma. After everyone came in for the evening we started listening to some music and watched the kids do some dancing.
