Day 2 July 11: Port Defiance

Well today we really do not have much planned and are just going to see where we end up. After driving around we ended up at a place called "Point Defiance" and it is a beautiful place to drive and they have a zoo and an aquarium. We were going to go to the zoo but we convinced Cameron it would be fun just to walk around and play in the dirt. Lucky us he went for it. So we went down to a place called "Owen Beach" and hung out for a few hours and took a walk. It was right on the ocean but the beach was a rocky beach, but the kids didn't seem to mind. Morgan loved getting on her belly and sprawling out on the rocks. There was a steep hill Cameron thought it would be fun to climb, little did he know that climbing is not a good idea wearing Crocs, he couldn't understand why he can't slipping down. While we are on our walk Cameron came across a ladybug that he insisted on bringing home with him, but thankfully after about 5-10 minutes the ladybug decided to fly away. We stopped off and ate lunch at a place called Dukes Chowder house, and we ate right on the water it was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

Rich had planned a surprise for Cameron that day and took him to ride go-karts. Cameron loves to do this with his daddy, it is there one thing they always do together when we go on vacation, it is sort of there tradition. Hopefully next vacation Cameron will be able to ride his own kart.

After we were done sight seeing that day we head to Rich's cousins house to spend the weeken with them. They are such wonderful people and they have a little boy who is 4 years old which made Cameron very happy. From the moment we introduced the boys they were pretty much inseparable. They had a blast together and not too many issues went on between the two of them. Cameron can't wait to get home and send his new friend Zach a package from Arizona.

Amy it looks like you are having a fun time. I am happy for you. It is fun to read about your trip as you go and not just hear about after you get home. I'll keep following you along. Keep having fun. Virginia
