Last night we decided to go to CA this weekend. We are going to the beach and Legoland and what other adventures we find ourselves taking. Cameron will be starting kindergarten next week so we thought we should get one last trip, since we won't be able to go on vacation whenever now.
I will post pictures while we are away, we will come home on Monday evening.

Bumps and Bruises
Since Morgan has started walking she looks like a battered child. She gets so excited and trys to go to fast and ends up falling down. We are always diving to make sure she doesn't fall into something. The other morning Cameron and I were wrestling in bed and Morgan thought she should join in, so she jumped on back and went a little too far and ended up hitting her eye on the side of our bed which is wood, and received her first black eye. There is a small cut above the eye as well.
Then not more than 10 minutes later she was chasing after Cameron and hit her cheek on the bottom of our bed on the post and has a small bruise there.
We went through the same the thing with Cameron so we know this too shall pass, but is so hard to see them with their little bruises, too them they are bruises of victory.

Diamondbacks Beat the Dodgers
We went to the Diamondbacks game on Saturday night and it was a great game. They played the LA Dodgers which are also tied for first place, so the D-Backs winning this game was big for them.
The kids had a ball as usual and the D-Backs won so everyone was happy. We sat on the third base side this time in row 10 and it is totally different then sitting on the first base side row 12 in our usual seats. I think we were surrounded by more Dodgers fans in these seats.
Cameron all worn out on the way home from the ball game.

We are home
We made it home safe and sound and very tired. It was not hard to get the kids back on their schedule only after two days of being home. I think they are secretly glad to be going to bed at 8:00. We have spent the day doing laundry and catching up on things around the house. So on Monday we resume our normal lives and back to reality.

Day 8 and 9: Seattle, The Seattle Center
Well we are just finishing up our trip. For the last two days we are in Seattle, visiting the Seattle Center. There is so much to do here we could spend a few more days.
We arrived in Seattle late in the afternoon and headed over to the amusement park at the Seattle Center, it turned out it was Union day, and some guy gave us free passes for the day, that saved us 65 dollars, thank you so much... So Cameron could ride all the rides he wanted and Rich and I rode with him as well. We didn't stay too long here which was a very big disappointment to Cameron. His favorite thing was playing the street games, he beat daddy in both games they played, and we are now proud owners of a red bull dog, and some beads. He loves riding the rides, he road the roller coaster, tornado, steam boats, bumper cars and the Ferris wheel.
One of our fun adventures tonight was "Riding the Ducks" tour. It is a 90 minute tour of Seattle that is on land and in the water. Going across Lake Union was awesome, it was just sunset and the view was beautiful. Cameron and Morgan loved this little adventure. Morgan smiled the entire time and Cameron was sitting on the edge of his seat.
The last adventure of the day was the visit to the space needle. We wanted to go at night so we could see the lights of Seattle and it was an amazing view, it is amazing what you can see from 600 feet in the air. It was beautiful.

Day 5,6, and 7 Westport Beach
Well we arrived at Westport Beach on Sunday afternoon to be welcomed with high winds and a chilly 53 degrees or so. On sunday we just hung around the hotel and Cameron went swimming and we just relaxed. On monday morning we got up to find the weather was still very cold and windy. Rich did some laundry and I took the kids swimming, and later in the day we took the kids down to the beach it was absolutely freezing, and it was also Morgan's first trip to the beach.
We then hooked up with Jim and Gaby. Jim was so nice and bought us each our very own crab and a few extras and so we had a nice little crab feast at our hotel for dinner. Everyone ate it right up, Morgan even had her own few legs of crab to nibble on, crab is Cameron's favorite seafood to eat. Cameron decided to go spend the night with Grandma and Grandpa in the RV on the water, so he enjoyed a nice time with them and all I heard was how they gave him lots of cookies to eat!!! That is what grandparents are for.
Crab Feast with Grandma and Grandpa at our hotel:
On Tuesday we had another lazy day. We walked down to the beach and walked around and collected Sand Dollars and Morgan crawled all over the place. She didn't like it next to the water but did not mind being up in the sand.
Day Two at the beach:
Jim and Gaby cooked us dinner this time at their place and it was delicious. Cameron spent the evening playing on the playground at the RV park.
Dinner at Jim and Gaby's
Rich and Cameron are currently taking a nice walk on the beach before bedtime and Morgan has already hit the hay.
We are having a wonderful time at the beach, Cameron isn't even upset that he can't swim in the ocean, it is just so peaceful to wake up in the morning and hear the waves though your window.
Tomorrow we will be heading back to Seattle to go to the science museum, the childrens museum and later that night we will go to the Space Needle.
This is Morgan's unhappy face
