Baseball Game

Yesterday we went to the Diamondbacks baseball game to kick off Cameron's birthday week. Going to the game for Cameron wasn't a big deal because we go all the time but the thing that made this time so much more special was that he got to bring a friend. This is the first time we have taken Cameron and a friend someplace (without their parents) and so it was a special treat for the both of them. Cameron chose his friend Colin to come with us and they had so much fun. On the way to the game they watched Star Wars and talked a mile a minute with each other. Once we got to the game the kids did great. We of course stopped off to get some souvenirs and we then made it to our seats. The boys sat in their seats the whole time and behaved very well. They were cheering loud and of course routing for the other team, Cameron always roots for the opposite team Rich and I are rooting for. The Diamondbacks were playing the New York Mets, which Cameron kept calling them the New York Mittens.
During the game Cameron really enjoys watching Baxter the Bobcat, the mascot. They kept asking when would Baxter come and see them. Are seats that we have are in the 12th row just behind the first base dugout, so Baxter gets up their and dances and does funny things. So finally here comes Baxter to give the boys high fives and before I knew it I had two boys behind me and ready to jump in my lap. For whatever reason they didn't want to see Baxter and for the rest of the game they kept saying, its not fair Baxter never comes to see us.

And of course Morgan had a wonderful time. This was her first diamondbacks game, and she loved it. She wore her little diamondbacks outfit and then we bought her a fun little hat at the game.

The boys made it until the middle of the 8th inning and then wanted to run the bases after the game. We got in line but after a little while Rich and I convinced them to do it on another day. We were all tired and it was a long day. Thank you to Colin who went with us and made Cameron's kick off to his birthday week fabulous.
