Change of Plans

This morning we woke up and planned to hit the zoo for the day. We packed our lunches, snacks and drinks and awaited for Aunt Lori to arrive and away we went. We made it to the zoo only to discover that they were having a festival for Latinos and it was packed, we would have had to park almost a mile away and walk over. We knew we wouldn't be able to see much so we decided to go to a park over in Scottsdale for our picnic lunch and some play time.
We made it to the park and ate our lunch and then the kids wanted to play in the play area. Cameron enjoyed himself by doing the monkey bars, and swinging. He also spent some time with his Aunt Lori.

Morgan on the other hand decided she would play in the sand. They have an area where there are misters to moisten the sand so you can actually build sand castles and such. Morgan took right to the sand and water, she dug her hands into the sand. She played in the sand for a good hour and had a blast, covered from head to toe.

With Morgan covered head to toe we couldn't very well put her in the car all sandy and muddy. So off to the bathroom for a quick bath in the sink. She had sand everywhere, but she had lots of fun. While Morgan is having a blast, Aunt Lori is having a stroke watching her get all dirty and enjoying it so much. But the fun just continues...

After leaving the park we head to a place called "YogurtLand". You choose your flavor of yogurt (they have like 20 different flavors) and then you add whatever toppings you want, it is all self serve so you can load them up. Cameron thought this was pretty cool.

And Morgan well she too enjoyed the yogurt, but again made a mess and insisted on cleaning the floor when she dropped some yogurt on it, Aunt Lori didn't handle this very well either. Morgan is like a small tasmanian devil, she always leaver her mark where she's been.
What a great day we ended up having...sometimes a change of plans turns out to be a good thing :)
