Foolin Around

Tonight when I got home from work the kids wanted to put on a finger puppet show for Rich and I. They had everything all set up and ready to go, but was soon distracted by being little kids. Cameron all of a sudden spotted his microphone and started doing the pledge of allegiance numerous times

After Cameron was done with his Pledge of Allegiance, they tried again but this time Rusty got in the way. Morgan kept trying to get Rusty to lay on a pillow for a nap and then Cameron decided to steal the pillow, and the video explains it all

Needless to say we never saw the puppet show but the kids still had lots of fun.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day. The kids made me cards and Cameron colored me a whole bunch of Mother Day sheets, Rich picked up some real pretty flowers.

The weather has been so nice these last few weeks we have been trying to get to the zoo but soomething always comes up. So today I took the kids to the zoo, while Rich stayed home and took a final that was due on Sunday.

We love going to the zoo, and each time it is a new adventure. It is something we do quite often and we never seem to get bored with it. Cameron is even wanting to try an overnight camp there this summer, where you sleep in tents around the zoo.

It was such a beautiful day out, the kids took their swimsuits and played around in the water area for a good hour or so. It is almost to hot for the zoo so we will soak up the fun for right now.

After splashing around, we headed to the next favorite spot at the zoo, Monkey Village. Of course after visiting Monkey Village we had to buy cute little stuffed monkies, or so Morgan thought, she ended up picking a lemur and was not very happy about it when she realized brother had a cute soft monkey. She literally sneaks up on him to try and steal and then runs like crazy when she gets it.

Later that night we grilled some steaks, mushrooms and tomato's for dinner, so yummy!!! What a great way to spend the day!!!

I feel so blessed to have the two best kids around and love being their mother. Who knew being a mom could be so rewarding.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

Change of Plans

This morning we woke up and planned to hit the zoo for the day. We packed our lunches, snacks and drinks and awaited for Aunt Lori to arrive and away we went. We made it to the zoo only to discover that they were having a festival for Latinos and it was packed, we would have had to park almost a mile away and walk over. We knew we wouldn't be able to see much so we decided to go to a park over in Scottsdale for our picnic lunch and some play time.
We made it to the park and ate our lunch and then the kids wanted to play in the play area. Cameron enjoyed himself by doing the monkey bars, and swinging. He also spent some time with his Aunt Lori.

Morgan on the other hand decided she would play in the sand. They have an area where there are misters to moisten the sand so you can actually build sand castles and such. Morgan took right to the sand and water, she dug her hands into the sand. She played in the sand for a good hour and had a blast, covered from head to toe.

With Morgan covered head to toe we couldn't very well put her in the car all sandy and muddy. So off to the bathroom for a quick bath in the sink. She had sand everywhere, but she had lots of fun. While Morgan is having a blast, Aunt Lori is having a stroke watching her get all dirty and enjoying it so much. But the fun just continues...

After leaving the park we head to a place called "YogurtLand". You choose your flavor of yogurt (they have like 20 different flavors) and then you add whatever toppings you want, it is all self serve so you can load them up. Cameron thought this was pretty cool.

And Morgan well she too enjoyed the yogurt, but again made a mess and insisted on cleaning the floor when she dropped some yogurt on it, Aunt Lori didn't handle this very well either. Morgan is like a small tasmanian devil, she always leaver her mark where she's been.
What a great day we ended up having...sometimes a change of plans turns out to be a good thing :)

Morgan gets a big girl bed

Our kids have been so different when reaching milestones. Cameron was so easy going and went right along with the plan. Morgan on the other hand likes to test us and do things at her own pace. We tried to move her into a big girl bed a few weeks ago. Her crib turns into a bed and so we took the front off and we have a cute little bed, not so much. Morgan did not want anything to do with the bed she wanted her crib back. So we gave in and let her back in the crib. A few weeks ago I saw a cute little bed at Babies R Us and thought she might like that.

Rich put the bed together this past weekend and she loves it!!! On Saturday night was her first time to sleep in it and we didn't do too bad. Only took her an hour before she kept getting out of bed. Went into check on her around 12:30 or so and she was sprawled out on the floor, so I put her back in bed. About 6:00 the next morning she comes wandering into our room. Always a little scary the first time they do that, and snuggles right in bed with me.

Morgan is not such a baby anymore...I don't think we have any "baby" things left in the house. No diapers, no crib..makes me a little sad knowing my little princess is growing up so fast.

I feel so blessed to have her and love on her.

Second Video of Morgan Being Silly

This is the second video of Morgan that same night.

She is so funny and has the best expressions.

Morgan Being Silly at the Dinner Table

Everynight at the dinner table always brings something new with the kids. They pretty much always refuse to eat what we fix and complain the whole time. Lately Morgan has been pushing her food away and yelling yuck the moment the food hits the table. She then plays with it and figures everything to do but eat it. Cameron is pretty much the same way.

Last night she decided to entertain us as well. Cameron is in the background practically joking on his food he was laughing so hard so don't mind him he is not joking and continues to live...

A New Year ='s New Beginnings

I can't believe 2010 is already in full swing and life has returned back to somewhat normal after the holidays. Having Cameron home for 2 weeks has been fun but we totally lost our routine and schedule and lived in chaos, no bed times, get up when we want, eat when we want. So this week getting back to school and work has been a little tougher than I anticipated. Back to the grind as they say.

Cameron was not too excited to go back to school because that means he can't play the Wii or his DS very often. And if he gets in trouble at school he loses it completely so not a lot of playing time this week :( On another note Cameron starts baseball this week and we are super excited, Rich is going to be the assistant coach and I will be the team mom, and Morgan will run around like crazy. In February Cameron is going to join another league and start playing competitive baseball, we are all ready for that. He has been practicing a few times a week. For Christmas he got a pitch back so he can play by himself in the backyard when we don't want to join in.

Morgan is talking like a weed and going to start a new preschool this winter. She really is a social little butterfly and needs to have that interaction with other little ones. Her and Rich are checking out a school today, it will be part time just a few days a week.

Rich and I are doing great. We have definetly had some challenges in 2009 but nothing we haven't been able to handle. Keep pushing along and trying to keep up with the kiddos.

Happy 2010
